Scones
Ingredients
350g Plain Flour 1. Preheat the oven too 180°c.
2 Tsp Baking Powder 2. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt and caster sugar in a bowl.
Pinch of salt 3. Rub butter in with fingers until the mixture turns like breadcrumbs.
40g Caster Sugar 4. Add the milk little at a time to make the dough.
175ml Milk 5. On a floured surface, using a rolling pin, roll the dough out to about 3/4 inch thickness.
1 Egg for glaze 6. Cut out the scones.
7. Put on a baking tray lined with grease proof paper and brush the tops of the scones with the
egg.
8. Put in oven for 12-15 minutes.
9. Fill with jam and cream or butter. Enjoy!
